Automatic Slatted Covers
Rigid slats that float on the water and wind onto a roller. They insulate while they protect: a closed slatted cover is a barrier over the surface and a lid on the heat underneath it.

Mechanism by pool type
Where the roller sits decides the civil works, the aesthetics and how a technician reaches it in ten years. Seven arrangements cover almost every pool. Section diagrams, not photographs. The geometry is the information.
Wet pit WP-01
The roller sits below water level in a wet pit at the end of the pool, behind a partition wall.
- Advantage: Slats disappear into the pit. Nothing on the water, nothing on the deck.
- Advantage: Established arrangement, well understood by pool builders.
- Disadvantage: The pit takes pool length and must be waterproofed with the shell.

Bottom pit BP-02
The mechanism is hidden in a wet pit at the bottom of the pool, closed with an aluminium lid or a tiling tray.
- Advantage: The most aesthetic result: no mechanism visible above or beside the water.
- Advantage: Lid can be tiled to match the pool floor.
- Disadvantage: Service and maintenance access is genuinely difficult. Specify only if you accept that.

In-wall pit IW-03
The roller is recessed into the pool wall at the end, so pool length is preserved.
- Advantage: Keeps the full swimming length of the pool.
- Advantage: Mechanism is hidden without a floor pit.
- Disadvantage: The shell must be engineered around the recess from the start.

Bottom box BB-04
A prefabricated box holds the roller on the pool floor. No site-built pit, no shell modification.
- Advantage: Hidden mechanism on an existing pool, without breaking concrete.
- Advantage: Factory-built box: predictable dimensions and tolerances.
- Disadvantage: Occupies part of the pool floor at the end.

Bottom installation BI-05
The roller sits on the pool floor at the end, submerged and unenclosed.
- Advantage: Simplest hidden-roller option and the fastest to install.
- Advantage: Nothing above the water line or on the deck.
- Disadvantage: The roller and slats are visible through the water.

Top with bench TB-06
The roller is boxed at the pool end and finished as a bench, usually in timber.
- Advantage: Turns the mechanism into poolside furniture instead of hiding it.
- Advantage: Full access to the roller by lifting the lid.
- Disadvantage: Adds a built volume at one end of the pool.

Top TP-07
