About us

Born in Norway. Built for everywhere.

Born from Norwegian engineering in 1972, PoolLock began when founder Harald Einevoll solved the ultimate heat-loss challenge in Bergen. What started as an innovative way to seal warmth against harsh Nordic winters became our foundation. Three years later, we installed our first cover in Norway. Today, PoolLock manufactures industry-leading automatic, slatted, and manual pool safety covers worldwide.

From a Nordic Secret to a Global Standard

For its first 20 years, PoolLock built covers for Norway alone. We mastered extreme weather durability in a relatively quiet market, but when European demand exploded in the 1990s, we faced a defining choice: remain a distant exporter, or evolve into a localized partner. We chose proximity. Today, half a century after our founding in Bergen, our story connects 50+ years of Scandinavian engineering with an agile international footprint.

The companies behind the cover

PoolLock is one of four companies in the same family, and a customer often meets another of them first. Naming them here is simpler than leaving anyone to work it out from a shared address.
